Excerpts and things
Watched Three Times at the Picturehouse recently. It's elegant. But it costs ten bucks, so think again if you wanna watch it. Haha. You get to sit in the oscar chair though.
Replaying Rain and Tears (a song featured in the movie) by Aphrodite's Child. It's gooooddd:)
Finished with Norwegian Wood. It makes me wanna read Catcher in the Rye again and I think it's like cigarettes and coffee! There're many sad but cool dudes inside, by the way. One part almost made me cry. (awww.) Will post excerpts soon. Okay, wait, shall post it now, since I am very bored:
"It is a game. I don't give a damn about power and money per se. Really. I don't. I may be a selfish bastard, but I'm incredibly cool about shit like that. I could be a Zen saint. The one thing I do have, though, is curiousity. I want to see what I can do out there in the big, tough world"
"And you have no use for 'ideals', I suppose?"
"None. Life doesn't require ideals. It requires standards of action."
"Do you know what that smoke is?" Midori asked me all of a sudden.
"No idea," I said.
"They're burning sanitary towels."
"I really like you, Midori. A lot."
"How much is a lot?"
"Like a spring bear," I said.
"A spring bear?" Midori looked up again. "What's that all about?"
"You're walking through a field all by yourself one day in spring, and this sweet little bear cub with velvet fur and shiny little eyes comes walking along. And he says to you, "Hi There, little lady. Want to tumble with me?" So you and the bear cub spend the whole day in each other's arms, tumbling down this clover-covered hill. Nice huh?"
"Yeah, Really nice."
"That's how much I like you"
I have become a murakami-convert.
