Sunshine sunshine, please!
Heard the dreaded news yet?
Yeah, so I figured, why not spend the remaining days having a lil fun before I break down? Hahaha. SHOPPING SPREE! Oh right nother excuse, I have to save! But there's a legitimate reason to spend! If only money proposed to me.
On a better note, Crystal emailed back! It's nice having emails(: I've read plays she recommended: Wit by Margaret Edson and Inherit The Wind. Links to amazon not included cos I'm too tired! Wit was brilliant, clever, very sad, almost made me cry at one instant or possibly several. It's really super cos it's her first attempt at writing a play, quite an achievement I say. Inherit The Wind was exciting to read, my very first social drama! (The Crucible I have but have not read. The copy's so dirty it deters me! Hahaha.) It's thought-provoking and very relevant, what with the prophet cartoons and freedom of expression and all. That's what makes a classic a classic. So eerily uptodate.
Chatting with Jolene made my day exciting, almost. It's been so long and I really miss her! Can't wait to catch up more and get brokeback(: YAYS to missing people and catching up and remaining the same and not the same at the same time.
Beachy day tmr, pray it doesn't rain, ever.
The Bagel
I stopped to pick up the bagel
rolling away in the wind,
annoyed with myself
for having dropped it
as if it were a portent.
Faster and faster it rolled,
with me running after it
bent low, gritting my teeth,
and I found myself doubled over
and rolling down the street
head over heels, one complete somersault
after another like a bagel
and strangely happy with myself.-David Ignatow
Just because, I <3 bagels.
